Our Team

Scott Mattingly

Education: Mount Saint Mary's University of Emmitsburg, Maryland in 1998 with a BS in Accounting and a minor in Economics.

Certifications: Certified Public Accountant in August 1999, Certified Financial Planner in 2001, and Certified Retirement Planning Specialist in May 2011.

Scott Mattingly founded the firm in November 2013.  Prior to that time Scott had worked in various regional accounting firms since May 1998. 

Scott’s areas of expertise are individual and corporate tax, tax planning, outsourced CFO work, IRS audit representation, personal financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, succession planning, and mergers and acquisitions. 

Scott is involved with the St. Ursula School Finance Committee and St. Ursula’s Father’s Club.  He is also involved with the Notre Dame Prep Father’s Club. 

He lives in Hydes, Maryland with his wife, Diane, their three children, Charlotte, Drew and Claire and their dog, Jack. 

When not working, Scott enjoys running, biking, hiking, gardening and landscaping, weight & cross training and his children’s sports and activities.  

Diane Mattingly

Diane Mattingly went to Towson University and graduated in 1998 with a BS in Accounting.  She has been with the firm since 2016.

Diane’s areas of expertise are QuickBooks training, Payroll, QuickBooks support and bookkeeping services.

She lives in Hydes with her husband, Scott and their 3 children, Charlotte, Drew and Claire and their dog Jack.

With three very active children, she doesn’t have very much free time after watching their kids play sports and participate in other activities, but when she does have down time she enjoys arts and crafts and reading.

Michael Tirocchi

Michael Tirocchi has been with our firm since 2017. 

Mike graduated from Stevenson University in 2007 with a BS in Business Administration. 

His areas of expertise are not-for-profit, partnerships, S-Corps and taxation. 

Mike lives in Fallston, Maryland with his wife and two daughters, their dog and 2 guinea pigs.

He volunteers with the Father’s Club at his daughters’ school. 

In his free time Mike enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hiking and gardening.  His family loves traveling to Disney World.  

Sarah Maher

Sarah Maher attended University of Maryland and graduated in 1991 with a BS in Accounting. She obtained her CPA designation in 1996. She has been with the firm since November 2021.

Sarah’s expertise includes tax compliance and consulting for closely held companies and owners as well as tax research and transaction planning for individuals and corporations. She began her career in financial accounting, working in several private companies. She also has over 20 years of public accounting experience, with knowledge of pass-through entities, trusts, private foundations, and corporations. Industries served include service companies, rental real estate, healthcare, manufacturing, wholesale and retail companies.

Sarah is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.

She lives in Lutherville and enjoys gardening, NFL football, attending live music events, escaping in a book, and all things summer!

Stacy Wenzl

Stacy Wenzl went to Randolph-Macon College and graduated in 1988 with a BA in English. She has been with the firm since 2022.

Stacy’s areas of expertise are QuickBooks and bookkeeping services.

She lives in Lewes, Delaware and has two adult children. In her free time Stacy enjoys dog walking/pet sitting; walking & spin class, all Baltimore sports, dining out, live music and gathering with friends and family.

Brian Black

Brian Black graduated from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at University of Maryland in 2013 with a BS in Accounting and Supply Chain Management. He obtained his CPA designation in 2016. He started with the firm in November 2022.

Brian’s expertise includes individual and corporate tax, tax planning and projections, small business accounting, budgeting and forecasting.

Brian is a member of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants). Brian lives in Baltimore City with his dog Buster. He is an avid sports fan, particularly the Ravens and Orioles. He still competes in numerous sports including golf, wood bat adult baseball and kickball.

Janet DeBaugh

Janet DeBaugh joined our firm in January 2020 as the firm’s administrative assistant. She came to us with 36+ years of experience working in other accounting firms in the area.

She is a born and raised Baltimore County resident, currently living in Perry Hall. In her free time Janet enjoys spending time with family and friends, baseball, reading, traveling and arts and crafts.
